Designing Out Waste consortium

Information about our current partners and links to their work

The ten leading businesses that make up our Designing Out Waste consortium recognise the environmental and economic imperative of improving the environmental performance of their products and services, across all stages of their lifecycle. They help us to research, analyse and debate some of the complex technical, economic and political challenges if we are to be successful in designing out waste.

Each consortium partner brings knowledge and experience from a particular part of the supply chain, from global manufacturing brands and retailers to waste management and producer responsbility organisations.

In July 2010 the consortium published a report, A pathway to greener products, which argues that the government can help all businesses to improve the environmental impact of the products they sell.
