Zac Goldsmith is MP for Richmond Park and North Kingston. He is former editor and current director of The Ecologist magazine, for which he has launched campaigns on climate change, GM food and pesticides. In 2005 he was asked to oversee the influential Quality of Life policy review for the Conservative Party, which was published in September 2007. 
  
In 2004, he received Mikhail Gorbachev's Global Green Award for International Environmental Leadership.
